This workshop is primarily for domestic scale installation however all members are welcome. We would in particular like our solar company members to attend to provide us with useful figures that can be used to substantiate WA SEA's position.

At the recent policy workshop there were discussions about SEDO and its position within the Government and its guidelines found on their website at this address http://www.sedo.energy.wa.gov.au/pages/about.asp  and their strategic direction available here http://www.sedo.energy.wa.gov.au/pdf/sedo_strategic_direction.pdf (last updated 2006).

WA SEA Breakfast with the Rt Hon Helen Liddell - British High Commissioner to Australia. 18 February 2009

Presentation avaliable here pdf Rt Hon Helen Liddell 58.95 Kb

"High stakes, high returns and a low-carbon economy" Wednesday 18 February 2009
We must sustain the momentum towards a low carbon economy, resisting calls for delay. Britain is working with other governments to strengthen globalisation, not weaken it. Effective emissions trading schemes give industry what it needs to succeed in tough economic times - greater certainty. Investment in low carbon technology will provide the very jobs we need to revitalise our economies and mitigate climate change at the same time.
