Chief Executive: Prof Ray Wills  Prof Ray Wills has had a wide-ranging career at different times as researcher, planner, adviser, manager and academic. Ray has substantial expertise in ecology, sustainability, climate change science and the effects of expected future climates on Australia, and is recognised by business, government and community leaders in WA as an authoritative commentator on policy and functional responses to mitigate and adapt to global warming. As well as his role as Chief Executive, Ray is an Adjunct Professor with the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Western Australia, and contributing to the academic program and lecturing on the science, economics and politics of environmental change. Ray also is Principal of the consultancy Future Smart Strategies. Ray is a member of a number of senior policy groups including the Federal Government's Department of Resources, Energy & Tourism Energy Efficiency Skills Committee, the Board of the Stirling Planning and Infrastructure Alliance, a Board Member of Earth Science Western Australia.. Further, he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy and member of the WA Branch Committee. Previously he has had roles including Deputy Chair of the WA Land Information System's (WALIS) Advisory Committee, and a member of the WA Government's High Level Stakeholder Group on Greenhouse. Prof Wills also made substantial contributions to the work of the Ecological Society of Australia (ESA), a professional, member based peak body for Australian ecologists where he was a member of the ESA Council for 13 years, including a considerable period as a senior member of the ESA Executive with his final role as Vice President of the ESA for four years, retiring from this position and from council at the end of 2003 - he remains a member of the Society. In 2000, he was elected to a lead role in the International Society for the Study of Mediterranean Ecosystems (ISOMED) as a Board Member, a post held until June 2004. Business Manager: Graham Duda  A Graduate of Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Business (Major in Marketing) and a Bachelor of Science (Major in Communications & Information Technology), Graham has had practical experience with a senior Federal Government Minister and Federal Members of Parliament and practical experience at Federal Government level, including with Senior Cabinet Executive visits to Western Australia. Working as part of a team, Graham has developed and organised constituent clinics, community forums and Senior Executive (Federal Government) visits including the Prime Minister, Treasurer and other Government Ministers. Membership & Events Manager: Lisa Murray Lisa has a BA Commerce in Marketing Management and Industrial Relations, and a background of working for different not-for-profit bodies in the hospitality industry with over nine years experience in both membership and events. Lisa is helping WA SEA grow membership and is developing services to increase value to existing members, Lisa is also be running the usual array of WA SEA events as well as bringing on new events of various scales. Lisa is Managing WA SEA's Energising WA conference - Western Australia's premier conference on sustainable energy, and a range of events promoting sustainable energy in business.
Advisory Services Manager: Neil Prentice  Neil has broad experience in commercial environments in research, production, consulting, sales and marketing in operational business environments. Work has included management and negotiation of commercial deals involving Intellectual Property and technology transfer, delivering client work to all sizes of organisations, from start-up to established multi-national organisations. Neil's most recent previous role was as Project Manager Commercialisation with The University of Western Australia. Previous work has included senior roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG. Neil's career started as Group Chemist for Klen International Pty Ltd. Neil's primary role with WA SEA isto meet WA SEA's contractual relationships with the national Enterprise Connect Clean Energy Innovation Centre (CEIC), delivering advisory services to deliver hands-on assistance to small and medium enterprises operating in the clean energy sector. |
